Description

This is our Abstinent Kitchen signature salad dressing! It is quick, easy, and delicious. Try it on salads, grain bowls, as a marinade… the sky is the limit!

This dressing recipe is great because it’s basic and yet, also versatile and adaptable to your individual taste.

1 Tbsp counts as 1 Fat Serving in any abstinent meal.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup vinegar of choice
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup oil of choice
  • 12 Tbsp mustard, or to taste
  • 1/41/2 tsp. dried herbs, or 1/21 Tbsp fresh herbs, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Measure all ingredients into a glass jar or container with a lid.
  2. Whisk, or secure lid on jar and shake until combined.
  3. Store in refrigerator.

Notes

  • use any type of vinegar, or a combination; we like a combo of balsamic and red wine vinegars.
  • we like a combination of olive oil and safflower oil (tip: olive oil on its own will solidify under refrigeration).
  • use any herbs or spices you like! we like a combo of oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder.
