This over-roasted salmon is one of my go-to favorites in my food addiction recovery – simple, balanced, and deeply satisfying. With just a drizzle of healthy fat and a sprinkle of seasoning, it bakes into tender, flaky perfection every time.

It’s sugar-free, flour-free, and full of nourishing protein to keep your recovery on track and your body feeling steady.

Roast a pan of vegetables at the same time, and serve over potatoes or brown rice for a simple and abstinent meal!

Description

Oven roasted salmon, cooked to flaky perfection!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • drizzle of olive oil
  • salt, pepper, herbs of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Rinse salmon, and pat dry. Place skin side down on the parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle oil over the salmon and brush to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs of choice to taste.
  6. Bake in pre-heated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until cooked through.

Notes

Vary the flavors with this simple recipe:

  • In place of the olive oil, brush the salmon with mustard and a squeeze of lemon; sprinkle with dill.
  • Substitute sesame oil for the olive oil, brush with tamari sauce, and sprinkle with powdered ginger, and garlic, for an asian flair.
