Meet The Mugs That Hold More Than Coffee

Introducing the Abstinent Kitchen Online Store!

Okay, besties, I HAVE to tell you something I’ve been pouring my heart into lately, because I’m honestly SO EXCITED about it!

You know how recovery is built on the smallest daily moments?

Like that quiet sip of coffee or tea in the morning, before the world wakes up, or that evening warm beverage, when you finally sit down, exhale, and turn your thoughts toward gratitude?

I kept noticing how those little rituals are where so much healing happens!

And I just kept thinking to myself… “what if we had something simple, tangible, and beautiful to hold during those moments, something that reminds us why we’re doing this?

So I finally did it. I just launched a new online store for Abstinent Kitchen.

Our very first collection of recovery mugs JUST dropped.

And, not just “cute mugs“, but mugs specifically and intentionally created for people walking a 12-step path, living abstinently or sober, and trying to stay spiritually connected, one day at a time.

I swear, this collection of mugs feels like a bunch of little recovery companions!

Picture it: You’re holding your morning coffee and the message on your mug brings you back to your intention for the day.

You’re doing your prayer and meditation and it’s right there in your hands, reinforcing your commitment.

On a hard day, when food noise crosses an old thought or synapse, just seeing a recovery phrase can help interrupt that spiral and remind you you’re not alone.

And can we just talk about gifts for a second? Because these make the sweetest, most meaningful gifts for sponsees, sponsors, or friends in recovery.

Think about it: sobriety birthdays, abstinence anniversaries, step milestones, holidays, or just a “thinking of you” surprise. It’s like giving someone a daily hug, in mug form.

But here’s the part that makes me the most emotional about this project:

Abstinent Kitchen is a division of Intentional Recovery Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

That means profits from these mugs go right back into supporting local recovery communities and expanding access to recovery resources. So this is not just any ol’ online store. It’s part of a bigger mission to help people heal and grow through recovery.

This launch feels like everything I love about recovery. Spirituality, structure, service, and daily practice – all wrapped into something simple and tangible you can use every single day.

Recovery isn’t just about the big breakthroughs; it’s also the tiny, faithful, consistent moments. Sip by sip. Prayer by prayer. Day by day.

I am just so ding-dang PROUD of this launch, and honestly, I’m genuinely hopeful about how many people this shop might encourage.

And if you were sitting across from me right now, I’d probably be sliding one of these mugs into your hands, saying “Here, fellow traveler. This is for your journey.”
