Stir Fried Greens

Description

A quick and easy stir fried greens recipe for food addiction recovery. A clean, sugar-free, flour-free side dish – perfect for your meal plan!


Ingredients

Scale

1 pound fresh greens (try bok choy, spinach, kale, or even broccoli)

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 large chunk of fresh ginger, minced

2 tsp avocado oil or olive oil

1 tsp sesame oil

sea salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Wash and trim greens, blot dry.
  2. Heat skillet or wok over high heat. Add avocado oil to coat pan and heat just until the oil shimmers.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  4. Add greens, and stir for about 2 minutes, until they turn vibrant green and are slightly wilted.
  5. Remove from heat, and drizzle sesame oil over greens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Stir to combine all, and serve warm.

Notes

This is a quick veggie dish – try it on a variety of different greens!

Serve over a bowl of brown rice with your favorite protein.
